Three children aged under 10 took the keys to their mum’s car yesterday and crashed it into a lamppost.
The car lurched off the drive at around 6am with one child behind the wheel and two in the back.
The adventure ended when the car mounted a kerb and hit the post.
Police were called out and tweeted: “All safe, lamppost wasn’t! #hideyourkeys!” Officers said they were investigating.
The car suffered minor damage in the incident in Wymondham, Norfolk.
