A man has been charged with aggravated assault after police say stabbed a woman in the chest when she gave him a birthday gift at Centennial Park on Saturday.
Derrick Terril Cason, 33, was booked Tuesday night, according to jail records, and is being held on a $76,000 bond.
An affidavit stated the female victim’s gift angered Cason, who then stabbed her. The woman’s injuries weren’t immediately known.
Cason was identified by the victim in a photo lineup.
