Arsenal French coach Arsene Wenger on Friday signed the contract extension until 2017 with the London club, with which it will be linked for more than two decades, the English team announced on its website.
Wenger already spent 18 years in the gunner team
Since Alex Ferguson retired from Manchester United, the French coach, 64, is active coach who has spent more time in front of a team in the English league, with 18 seasons on the bench already satisfied the Emirates.
"I want to stay and continue to develop the team and the club. Started a very exciting period. We have a strong team, financial stability and tremendous support worldwide. We are determined to bring more success to this club," said the French Technical the statement from Arsenal.
A charge, Arsenal has won this year tasteless fourth in the English Premier, with 79 points, but managed to qualify for the Champions League at the end of the season thanks to victory in the FA Cup (FA Cup), first title Arsenal after eight years.
The win against Hull City in the final of the FA Cup Wenger gave his eighth trophy in front of the Gunners, after taking the league title three times-in 1998, 2002 and 2004 - and won the FA Cup five times.
On Friday, Wenger said he was "grateful" to the directive because Arsenal "has always had faith" in him and recalled that both "have remained united" in bad times and in "great moments".
"Every time the union has been tested got the right reaction. I think I've shown loyalty to the club and hopefully we can continue making history," said the coach.
Wenger attributed to major changes in the London club and the success with players like Patrick French Vieira, Thierry Henry and Gaël Clichy, Cesc Fabregas the Spanish or Dutch Robin Van Persie, among others.
The Frenchman broke with his usual moderation in spending last summer, when paid by German Mesut Özil Real Madrid 50 million euros, almost double what any other player worth your template.
