Stoke have announced the signings of Mame Biram Diouf and Dionatan Teixeira.

Strike Diouf has already enjoyed spells at Manchester United and Blackburn in the Premier League and will arrive on a free transfer when his contract with Hannover expires.

Meanwhile the Potters have agreed an undisclosed fee with Banska Bystrica for defender Teixeira, who is a Slovakian Under-21 international.

Chief Executive Tony Scholes was understandably delighted with the new arrivals, especially Diouf who bagged 25 goals in 57 games in the Bundesliga.

He said: "He has been a tremendous success in Germany as his record underlines and he is keen to return to England make an impact in the Premier League. We're pleased to be able to give him the platform to hopefully achieve that ambition.

"Mark is looking forward to working with Mame, who is himself excited about the prospect of linking up with rest of the squad in July."

The pair take Stoke's tally of acquisitions for the summer to four, following Phil Bardsley and Steve Sidwell to the Britannia Stadium.

Chelsea have confirmed that Tomas Kalas will spend next season on loan at FC Koln in Germany.

The Czech defender, 21, has previous loan experience, having spent two years in Holland with Vitesse Arnhem (2011-13).

Last term he was thrust into Premier League action for a first start against Liverpool in the 2-0 win at Anfield in April.
