ONE DEAD IN NEW PLANE CRASH

One person died when a small plane crashed just outside the SUNY Purchase campus Friday morning.

The plane, a Cessna, was likely preparing to land at Westchester County Airport, or had just taken off when it went down near 120 Cottage Ave. just before 8:30 a.m.

The sole person on board died, according to PIX11 sources.  It’s still unclear what caused the crash.
