It is a sport that brings injury and even death to both parties - but Chinese wrestlers were happy to get to grips with bulls in a ring at the weekend.
Their faces etched with concentration each of men grabbed the horns of a bull and attempted to wrestle them in a small fenced off circle in front of a cheering crowd on Saturday 31st of May, in Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province.
Bullfighting is growing in popularity in China - matches used to be held by farmers for small change, but now they can fetch 50,000 yuan (nearly $8,000).
The bulls are not killed at the end of the match - many Chinese trainers view the Spanish tradition as barbaric.
